“We continue to welcome Vietnamese students to apply and interview for student visas. To date, our goal has always been to ensure that U.S. student visas are issued to all eligible students. The COVID-19 pandemic has not diminished opportunities to study in the U.S.”

Additionally, the pandemic does not affect the approval process for student visas, scholarship programs, or academic exchanges.
There have been no changes to the student visa issuance policy. The application process remains the same, and student visas are still being issued during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Is vaccination necessary and mandatory for international students entering the U.S.?
Currently, international students are not required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter the U.S.
The only requirement is a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours before departure to the U.S.

However, vaccination requirements vary by institution. Some universities mandate COVID-19 vaccinations, while others do not. Students are advised to contact their university’s International Student Office for specific guidelines.

Additionally, there is no nationwide COVID-19 vaccination policy in the U.S., as it falls under the jurisdiction of local health officials. Therefore, Vietnamese students should consult with local health authorities in the U.S. or their university’s International Student Office for detailed instructions.
